LOUISE PITRE

Award-winning singer and actress Louise Pitre starred in Mamma Mia! in Toronto, across North America and on Broadway.  Louise also starred in Piaf, Jacque Brel, Annie Get Your Gun, Blood Brothers and Sweeney Todd with the Calgary Symphony, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance, and many others.  In New York, Louise was nominated for a Tony Award as well as winning the National Broadway Touring Award, a New York Theatre World Award, and the San Francisco Theatre Critics Circle Award.  In Canada, Louise has won 3 Dora Awards, and she has just been nominated for her 4th for her performance in Toxic Avenger. Louise is currently the host of 'STAR PORTRAITS' which begins airing on Bravo! September 2009.

Louise has released 4 CD’s to date: “Songs My Mother Taught Me”; “All of My Life Has Led to This”; “Shattered” – produced by the famed Fred Mollin and featuring the great Jimmy Webb on piano and “Could You Wait?” – the original cast recording of the show she co-wrote with husband W. Joe Matheson and friend and accompanist, Diane Leah.
